Vanity is a graphic novel by Jurii Kirnev that tells the full biography of the infamous Hungarian Blood Countess Elizabeth Báthory (1560-1614). By combining historical facts, drawn from documents Kirnev studied in Budapest archives, with the myths surrounding her, the novel explores all aspects of the subject, examining both reality and legend without contradiction.
